Basset Hound breeding

A dog with an atypical physique and a rather epic character...

It is with Red Shining from Côtes de la Saunade that we are opening this new chapter of our life, following that of the Great Dane; breed that we still love so much.

Cunning as a fox, stubborn as a mule, cheerful as a finch… What a strange animal we have here! Or rather what dog !  This is how I will describe our first Basset Hound to you, before being a ball of tenderness, it's a walking joie de vivre, sometimes clown, sometimes piglet... Anything that stinks is exciting and appetizing!
 

  If we fell under the charm of their very particular physical construction, we will quickly notice that they do not escape the "Show dog" effect and the hyper type, which tends to exaggerate the characteristics of the animal. Excessive folds, ratio to the ground too low, non-standard templates...

However, we are concerned about the well-being of our dogs, and our objective is to preserve their primary functions as best as possible, to have well-built adults who have no difficulty in moving and reproducing naturally while having stables.
